Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida is one of our favorite charities. Since opening their first Ronald McDonald House (RMHCCF) in December 1996, over 18,000 families have found a home away from home while their children received medical treatment in our community.

We had a great day at the annual golf tournament, held at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge.

What is the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida?

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida’s mission is to find, create and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and families. In short, they provide a home away from home for families with children receiving treatment in medical facilities in Orlando. Each year, about 2,700 families stay with them to be close to their critically ill children.

Some Notes About the Central Florida Chapter

  • 50% of the families we serve come from Central Florida.
  • We save families more than $3.3 million in hotel costs alone every year.
  • When they can, families factor the Ronald McDonald House into their decision about where to bring their child for care.
  • Our not-for-profit hospital partners benefit from increased patient referrals and repeat visits due to patient satisfaction.

What is Their Golf Classic Tournament?

The 2013 RMHCCF Golf Classic is a way for great people to come together for an awesome cause. Through sponsorship and other fees, this event is designed to raise money to keep supporting families in need. We have fun every year at this event and all leave feeling great that we were able to help people that truly need it.
